Call international student paper Award for the Happy Projects'13 conference

As every year, the ROLAND GAREIS CONSULTING organizes the international student paper award. This award is a great possibility for students to get some experience.

Please find attached the call for the student paper award’13. The topic of the happy projects`13 conference (25 & 26 April 2013) is SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT.

This year’s topics of the student paper award are:

  •  A new paradigm: Sustainable management
  • Corporate governance in the project-oriented company
  • Considering sustainable development principles in project & process management
  • Sustainable changes by professional change management
  • Management for stakeholders versus management of stakeholders
  • General topics about project & process management

              2nd PMUni workshop 2011 in St. Petersburg, Russia

              The 2nd PMUni workshop in 2011 took place at the Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnical University in Russia and was hosted by Igor Ilin and Manfred Esser. In that case we say thank you to the team of the Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnical University for organizing a successful and interesting PMUni workshop.

              The morning session focused on project and process management education in different universities. After a short introduction from Igor Ilin the actual PMUni status and the benefits of the PMUni network were presented by Roland Gareis. The Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnical University (Igor Ilin), the Russian Engineering-Economical University (Vlasov Mark P.) and the St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance (Airopetova Anush G.) introduced their university and presented project management education and actual research in Russian universities. Mihály Görög (Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary), Rüdiger Geist (spirit@PM, Switzerland), Gilbert Silvius (Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands) and Roland Gareis (PMG) explained project and process management education in their university.

              The afternoon session focused on actual research projects.

              • Shwetsov W.L., Prokhorov A.V., Ilyin I.V., Petrov P.A., all from the Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnical University, Russia, presented the results of their research project about project management in road construction projects in Russia.
              • Rüdiger Geist (spirit@PM, Switzerland) discussed first results of the research project OutPM - “Outsourcing of PM tasks”. The project is done in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences bfi Vienna, Austria.
              •  Roland Gareis (PMG, Austria) presented further research results of the research project SustPM. First results of the research project were discussed in the 1st PMUni workshop in 2011 and can be downloaded here http://www.pmuni.net/index.php?categoryid=39&p13_sectionid=29 .
